My son and I love to visit Chinatown's in every location we travel to on business. Decided to try for lunch today. We were just touring around and Tai Tung looked inviting. From the moment we walked in the restaurant was very welcoming! We had a variety of dished and drinks. The Mai Tai's were a great start - very generous bartender! We ordered the Mongolian Beef, the General Tso's Chicken and pork fried rice. Everything was tremendous....and more than enough food! Very reasonable prices. Loved the little tables with the privacy nooks! Great menu selection and very friendly staff. If I had any complaint it would be that the rice came before the soup. There was no time to slowly enjoy the soup before the entire meal came. Next time would request the food be served in courses. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go back. If you like quaint little places in Chinatown, give this a try - you will not be disappointed!
I would have rated this place average had the waiter not messed up two out of eight orders at our table including mine. I'm normally leery of an Asian restaurant that has chop suey or chow mein on the menu because of the inherently phony origin of both dishes. I asked for cha jang mien, which I have had probably a hundred times in Korea, China and the U.S. and ended up with a bowl of noodles in some kind of tomato sauce. Not even close. My wife ordered and was told by the waiter to try the chow mein because it was better. Another lady gave up and accepted the lemon chicken rather than insist on the dish she ordered.
