Had a very good meal at Moksha with a group of old friends. My first meal there, one couple were regulars and I can see why. The food was excellent, tasty, colourful and satisfying. We were three couples, the place was buzzing with families, a birthday party and friends enjoying time together. The food is affordable, BYO means drinks were cheap (from home): with entrees, mains and 3 shared desserts and a $5 tip from each couple we spent $75 a couple. Good value. Husband found it a bit too spicy: seeing the restaurant full of happy well-fed customers means Moksha must be doing something right. Highly recommended.
A family group had a mid week impromptu gathering and chose this restaurant. At first, it was not that busy but gradually more and more people arrived. We were warmly greeted by a friendly waiter who was happy for us to just wait to order due to the late arrival of some of our party. We also had a vegan in our group and the waiter in conjunction with the chef were very helpful with food choices that would be suitable. Our food arrived promptly and I found it to be good quality and very authentic. Not only have I dined in a number of Indian restaurants with good reputations but I have also travelled extensively in India. While food in Australia does differ from the local cuisine, the typical dishes we know here, were quite authentic. While this restaurant is not what you would call outstanding in terms of food and decor, the restaurant did provide very friendly and accommodating service and tasty food in good amounts.
