This is one of the few restaurant chains which shows consistency in their quality of food throughout different outlets. No matter which Ajisen I went to, I was never disappointed with their ramen. The noodles were always cooked just right and not too soft or soggy. Having eaten soggy ramen at other places before, I became wary when trying ramen at new places. The one place I can fall back on is Ajisen. Even the outlet in KSL Johor lived up to its standards. Go for the tom yum seafood ramen if you are a seafood lover and can take spicy food. The usual soup based ramen is also very delicious according to my boy. As for my hubby, he likes the spicy ramen here. I would always go to Ajisen when I'm craving for ramen. Their set of 1 noodle + 1 side dish is also value for money.
We visited the outlet in Plaza Singapura for lunch today, having made an attempt to visit a place called Kura Ramen which unfortunately seems to have closed. I was a bit reluctant to go to Ajisen since I've been to some of their other outlets a few times and haven't been so impressed. Sure enough, we had the same experience today. The ramen is just not that tasty, the broth doesn't have much flavour, and there was something just not right about the gyoza.Yes, it's a bit cheaper than other ramen places, but you really suffer in terms of quality loss. Not planning to come back.
