Went there with my hungarian friend to have real hungarian food. The goulash was very delicious as well as the spits on rice. As dessert we had nice Palatschinken and chestnut mash. The people were quite friendly and helpful. The location is kind of scraggy. The restaurant is partly used the breakfast room of the hotel next door. The beergarden looks more like a parking slot with gras.
There are more than one Golden Leaf hotels in the area. We wanted the one in downtown Munich. This was more on the outskirts of town. At first I was irritated about not being in town. Ludwig's Wirtshaus is attached to the Golden Leaf. Keeping in mind I went into this with a very negative attitude due to the hotel mistake, it was the best food I've ever eaten. Nothing in the tourist areas was even close. And the locals and staff were fun to hang out with at the bar. We ate/drank here almost every day we were there. If we ever go back to Munich we'll be eating here again for sure.
