nice atmosphere and great service. the food is traditional Taiwanese and real good. a little noisy but it was full on the Tuesday we went. a mix of business people and other dinners. highly recommend.

It was recommended by the MO concierge as opposed to the Michelle Lo's pick. Food is great and very nice ambience. We had the stir fried morning glory, fish roe fried rice, Taiwanese sausage with thin slices of fresh garlic, great taste and nicely presented. Highly recommend it

Absolutely the finest Taiwanese cuisine! My hosts ordered the food so in many cases I have no idea what the courses were - just that each one was more delicious than the last! The service was constant, unobtrusive and slightly abrupt in that Asian way that westerners mistake for ill-temper when it's really about efficiency. Dark interior ambience suggesting wealth and privacy. There are separate dining rooms for private parties as well. It wasn't until I visited the toilet that I realised how many people the restaurant can accommodate. Very clever interior design. If you're in Taipei, and you want high class dining - come to Ao Ba. It's not crazy expensive either - well compared to the brilliant meals you can get on every street in the city.
