Found Zypresse whilst wandering around this district. Very pleasant restaurant with lovely owner. The food was really delicious and nicely cooked. We both had ordered spicy kebabs, mine with rice and salad and my partner's with bread, yoghurt and salad - really tasty. The owner is called Garip Gundogdu, born in Dersim which is in Turkey. He looked after us very well and we really enjoyed our spontaneous choice of restaurants.
This is the type of place you expect to be open during the weekends, but is not. However, if you are around during the week, grab some kebap and enjoy typical turkish-kurdish desserts for a decent price. Cozy and small and very easy to reach with tram 49, 5 and U6 Burggasse/Stadthalle (5 minutes walk).
