I went to meet up with a friend in Biscaya. The place was relatively quiet and very cosy, the interiour reminds both of a typical Austrian cafe but also a Spanish tapas bar. Importantly most tables are in corners of sort and you are not exposed on display. We ordered a number of tapas to share from the black board, the menu reminds of being in Spain - Gambas, Chorizo, Lomo, Tortilla...the works. I have been in Andalucia in September and have still fresh memories of the food there...I think that Biscaya was on par with that and we certainly enjoyed our food. They have Murauer beer, which is one of my favourites. There was a selection of Spanish wines too, but we didn't quite come to that. And Crema Catalana was abosolutely delish. So in summary, great food and drink, cosy, good service and none of the smoke that was mentioned in other reviews - may be the new anti-smoking laws have kicked in. I am definitely going back.
The salmon was delicious as was the cold spanish meat platter.. The food was so good that we went back a second time before we left. we had Sangria twice and the salmon It was very crowded the first night but it was convenient as we were staying at Hotel Brillantengrund. If it hadn't been closed on Sunday and Monday, we would've been back a third time.
