I have been a fan of Loi Hin's beef noodles since childhood. The beef meat and beef balls taste fresh and meaty, and the aromatic hot broth complements the meat beautifully. It doesn't matter whether you choose to have it with vermicelli or noodles, both are equally delicious. The best time to come is in the morning because there are less customers and the broth is at its tastiest before it gets 'watered down' as the day goes by. If you're visiting Sabah, make sure not to miss out on one of the signature dishes of the state's Chinese community! And if you're lucky enough to be in Kota Kinabalu, Loi Hin is the place to go.
Love to have light toast for breakfast, drinks like coffee, teh majas and others are great. I rather prefer the classic meat ball beef broth with meehoon/rice vermicelli but there are various options available like noodles with dark sauce or innards as extras.
This is the place to taste the authentic Kota Kinabalu beef ball meehoon and noodles. Try the fresh beef slices. They make their own chill sambal sauce which can be very spicy but great with the beef and balls. I rather prefer the classic meat ball beef broth with meehoon/rice vermicelli but there are various options available like noodles with dark sauce or innards as extras. It is wise to go early for lunch because as the day drags on the soup can get "diluted" down if they have to cater to too many customers that day.
