My partner and I ate here three times during our stay in Koh Lanta. The food was affordable and very tasty. The papaya salad is amazing. The couple is feeding an adorable ginger cat who was abandoned by the store nearby. We really wanted to adopt her but our cat would terrorise her and my partner is allergic to DSH. I have contacted Lanta Animal Welfare but they said they were at capacity with their cats. Could someone please pass the message to them? Also, could the address and/or phone number be updated? I wanted to send cat food to help them out if they were okay with that.
A but if a mixed review though my girlfriend insisted that it deserved 4 stars. I think it's more a 3.5. Pros Cheap Good staff Girlfriends meal was good Liked the geckos on the light eating the Mosquitos Cons I ordered chilli paste crab, prawn and squid. It had no squid or crab. The chile paste had no heat at all. The meal was bulked out with onion.
Lovely couple with a real affinity with food which is rare on an island full of people desperate to make money from tourists. This place is to the right of the LOVE MUSIC bar, and has a chicken and sticky rice stand at the front of it. Don't be deceived by the look of this place. It is the best on the island when it comes to Thai food. Our neighbours recommended it when we first arrived so we diligently tried it, then when elsewhere, and now prefer not to eat anywhere else! Papaya salad to die for, as is the spicy morning glory if you like your veggies. We tried barracuda last time and that was nice, plus any of the meats with the garlic and pepper sauce. We've had some real 'island belly' incidents in our time here, but I really trust this woman to look after us. I've noticed a lot of parents take their kids here for omelettes etc too, so they must feel the same way.
