After 10 days of only Italian or French food, we wanted something more like what we eat at home. Used Tripadvisor to search for Chinese restaurants near our Paris hotel. Taokan was at the top of the list, so off we went. Nicely decorated, contemporary Asian restaurant. We chose to get Chinese dishes similar to what we eat at home. What we got was excellent northern-style Chinese cuisine. The restaurant was quite full by the time we left and seemed to attract only locals. Good choice for a change of pace in Paris.

Yummy yummy Dim Sum, with a quiet modern vibe. So often I find great food in tightly packed spaces when in Europe but Tao Kan was just perfection. We were really late making a reservation for their Rue Honore location and were able to get in at their St. Germanin location. We found out that the RH restaurant called and made sure we could be seated right away at their SG location, how very nice! We loved the food, its was perfectly seasoned,Loc Lac Beef- great (beef filet) and Ya Song (duck- pancakes) fresh broccoli stir fried wonderfully with a light sauce. It was truly a great place for a relaxing dinner with my friend, we talked til late because we could and just enjoy ourselves! On the list when I return to Paris :)

We were staying in hotel Duminy Vendrome on rue du Mont Thabor for 7 days and we walked past this restaurant everyday and it looked very classy and interesting from the street.On our last night in Paris we decided to give it a try.What a treat.The ambiance of the restruant is very calm and relaxing Fantastic staff who seemed really please to have the four of us in for the evening we had such a great time we were the last to leave. The waiter was great I cannot remember his name but he made the night and gave great wine suggestions.This was not an overpriced tourist restraunt serving tourist versions of French food.The food was amazing a fusion of Asian / French food a memorable dining experience worth a visit even if you are not in the district very easy to find if you use the metro and get out at Tuileries station or a very easy walk from the Louvre through the beautiful Tuileries gardens.We did not need a booking but we're were in Paris in Winter a month after the shootings so a bit quiet would be worth booking 0142619788 We loved it so much we have the business card to hand onto friends
