This is a hipster joint in a converted garage (they left the garage door in place) with a nice group of picnic tables outside. Hipster craft beers are in abundance and we enjoyed several if them while chomping down on some Carolina style BBQ. You choose your protein (chicken, pork, or beef brisket) and if you want it on a platter or bun then it's served to you pretty quickly from their steam table 'kitchen' area. The taste was pretty good, nothing outstanding but enjoyable when paired with one of their yummy craft beers. You really have to pay attention to your GPS when trying to find it because it's really non-descript from the street.
The American Ice Company is located in a former auto garage within an up-and-coming neighborhood of Washington, DC USA. The bar is indoors while the restaurant is outside under a roof and perfect for sitting at a picnic table talking to friends over a beer. The menu is rather limited (e.g., German sausage on a roll) but this is more of a beer joint and very casual so no expectations. This is a great place for a fun, neighborhood place to meet friends.
