A nice view of the ocean (if you happen to also like seeing the port), breeze coming through. Prices are 20 to 40% higher than room service in the hotel which seems a bit excessive. Wait staff were super friendly and accommodating and established a friendly atmosphere. Food was good. Limited vegetarian options. Note: dry during observation of Eid. While other families were present, there were couples who didn't particularly enjoy the kids' noise.
This is a nicely themed bar and restaurant on the beach at the Hilton hotel. It's in a charming and relaxing beach-hut style building with log construction and thatched roof. With it's warm and welcoming lighting, it makes for a very relaxing evening drink or meal. The food was truly excellent quality and I was very impressed. I had a pizza, pizzas vary hugely in Oman but this was really a high quality one. Not the biggest but very nice dough (freshly made and baked in the kitchen - you could watch) and fresh veg on it. They serve a good range of western beers on the bar and it tastes fine from draught, which is not particularly common in the hotel bars of Oman. My only real criticisms are that the staff are quite inattentive and sometimes you may have to ask a few times to get served. If the staff could be more aware of customers looking for help, and not forget orders placed; without becoming overly needy as they often do; I would bump my rating up to a 5-star. Also a bird took a dump on me whilst I was sat inside. It would be nice if they could keep the birds out.
