This hotel was located after our first hotel flop down the street next to a shop called wilkman village and across from immigration. Our driver brought us there from the border bridge. It was run down and needed updating. We found this on the internet, and we were so happy. It was well kept and modern. There is a nice swimming pool and fitness center. Our room overlooked the Mekong river which was across the street. The free breakfast had a very good selection. Laotion dishes and a few american dishes and fresh fruit. overall it was a great stay.
If you get good service, hot water, decent food, and a clean room outside of the capital in Laos, then you won. Prize your discovery. I had a very clean room, it was well-furnished, had hot water, clean linen, functioning internet, and I had a good stay. I liked the place. I asked to see one of the suites. Those looked very nice, very well-maintained and spacious. The breakfast was nothing to brag about, and I was wise to go early while it was still hot. My "very good" rating means very good for Savannakhet.
The menu gives you lots of choice, but after we ordered spring rolls they came to tell us they didn't have spring rolls. We ordered fried rice with chicken and it was simple. Very few vegetables in the rice. Staff speaks very little English and the restaurant doesn't have much atmosphere.
