The bible of a menu has everything from burgers and pizzas to indian and thai food. I'm sorry to say it's most likely all pretty bad. Ate here for a few times since I was staying at the resort which I must say is very reasonable. Not great but good value in a fantastic location. A lot of the food is supermarket stuff they just microwave up and toss on a plate or pour from a can. Probably very little fresh ingredients. I guess if you had to eat here stick with the special foods section of the menu and keep it thai food strictly. The papaija sallad was at least decent. Location on the beautiful and peaceful beach is great and the staff is friendly so there's at least that.
The Pavilion was great. A short but memorable stay. Had a small villa which had everything we needed. Clean and very comfortable bed. Air-con and the usual amenities. A really nice pool and the resort is also right on the beach - so we had swimming options. Staff were friendly and helpful and in particular, the western manager who seemed to be overseeing all sorts of tourist related enquiries. Not that the locals couldn't handle it, but having a westerner on hand generally meant better overall advice. Didn't eat at the restaurant there but seemed to be well patronised. Plenty of dining options on the beach and roadside.
Rob the manager and his team of staff were very informative and really left us with a good feeling after we checked in. The warm and friendly welcome along with a genuine feeling of care and attentiveness was very appreciative. Our stay was very enjoyable and we liked everything about the bungalows and the resort. Big clean rooms with quiet Air-Con, huge breakfast menu (go before 10am as everybody seems to come at the last second before breakfast finished at 10 and it gets busy then), beautiful garden areas, nice clean pool with plenty of sun loungers, direct access to the beach which is amazing in the high tide. Overall a really great experience. Well done Pavilion!!
