We were recommended this restaurant by a young couple staying at the same hotel as us, so we, together with another older couple decided to try the hospitality here. The restaurant is located directly on the beach with all the decor adapted to it being a run down beach shack. Chairs a bit uncomfortable but the scenery was magnificent especially if your there at sunset. Bob Marley influence here, but hear none of his music in the background. The staff are very pleasant and helpful as we have found most Thai's to be. Their menu is quite extensive and really inexpensive. We chose to share two dishes, the pork spare ribs and a Thai prawn with garlic and pepper. Unfortunately, the food here was a big letdown for us. The ribs were served quite quickly so obviously they had not been slow cooked. They were quite crispy and I would say that they had been deep fried. The prawn dish was way over cooked and that resulted in the prawns taking on a 'rubbery' texture. The other couple who joined us didn't seem to overly enjoy their selection either. With drinks the cost was 550Baht which is about $22 Australian. To summarise, this is a quaint, well positioned restaurant that serves mediocre fare at a cheap price. Would absolutely suit the younger, care free generation, but us older mature group would rather look for something with a bit better class that would serve a tasty and edible meal. Nice visit, but wouldn't go back again.

We've been fans of the Reggae Fisherman Bar for a number of years, always enjoying the friendly service, great music and terrific food/drinks. We were sceptical when they moved to the other side of the island and lost the view of the sunset but now that we've been, the changes are all positive. Same great food, drinks, music and friendly service but much more space and a cooler location in a lovely garden setting. Bungalows will be available for accommodation very soon. Congratulations on the changes!

Me and my partner both drove past this quirky little shack as we was on our way back from the Big Buddha temple. We only stopped to check the view and it turned out to be one of the most lovely evenings we had on our visit to Samui. We arrived at roughly 5pm. We ordered some food and a drink each and we both sat in awe watching the most beautiful sunset. The prices were reasonable and the food was also beautiful. The staff were very pleasant and very friendly and also very understanding when we had decided that we wanted to swap and change the order up a bit. We stayed from 5 until 9 just sat happy, relaxed and just absorbing the peaceful vibe and surroundings with some reggae music in the background. We left after dark and later realised my partner had left a pair of sunglasses behind which was worrying as they were expensive. We was unable to make it back to the Reggae bar until 2 days later but when we arrived back they recognised us straight away and as soon as we mentioned the sunglasses they knew they belonged to us and have them back. They had actually kept them away in a see through plastic back in a safe place ready for the owner to come and collect them. To me that makes excellent customer service and is proof that these kind, warm hearted people are not just putting on a friendly face, they are genuine trustworthy people. I give them a massive thumbs up not only for their act of kindness but for the creativity that they have put into the bar itself. The food they serve and the drinks they make! Fabulous place to eat, drink, chill and watch the sunset ☺️
