You have to search for it, but it is worth it! Very peaceful garden, clean and big rooms, nice family. It has everything you need for a basic stay. And it is cheap! Don't forget to bargain if you travel with a tight budget, cause it is possible. Have fun :).
The right diet is a key to a healthy and fulfilled life.... All the more so during a stay or enjoying a meal at the BLUE HEAVEN GUESTHOUSE, Peaceful Marg, Lakeside, POKHARA. anager Binod Thapa allready puts his love in cooking since 1998. His place in Blue Heaven Guesthouse in fact is the first restaurant in Nepal cooking according to the Ayurvedic principles. If you want to improve your health, lose weight or purify the system, you should resort to Ayurvedic cuisine attuned to your particular constitution. Of course, the cuisine also includes non-Ayurvedic dishes. An Ayurvedic meal thrives on the art of composition. The various ingredients are skilfully combined in terms of flavour, colour, consistency and preparation method. The food has a pleasant aroma, stimulates the appetite and contains all six rasas or tastes in carefully measured quantities. An Ayurvedic meal is above all else balanced and in every respect wholesome. For it contains all the ingredients necessary for health. The preparation method and the combination of foods make the meal particularly agreeable and easy to digest. The restaurant offers a magnificent view at the Himalaya’s. As well from the beautiful garden as from the rooftop. Best make a reservation before Tel.nr. 061-463351 or 9808540392 Next to the superb cooking of Binod, you can also enjoy the beautiful garden or take a room at his guesthouse.
Chef Binod Thapa and his crew will cook you a dinner to your liking veg or non veg. The ingredients will be fresh from local suppliers (if need be upon taking your orders ;-)). They will prepare them fusing typical Nepali tastes and spices with continental style cooking. All of this in a clean and well organised kitchen. After 2 weeks of varying experiences travelling to Pokhara made us easy victims for getting hooked on Binod's (vegetarian) cooking. So we did not check out other restaurants in Pokhara. Since I did not notice much difference between their 2003 menu's and their current ones I do not feel we were missing much. We had a splendid time in Blue Heaven Guesthouse. The food was certainly a significant contributor.
