A nice place – with good crêpes – and friendly service. We had no problems with the slow service referred to in some other reviews. We visited twice – once for crêpes at lunchtime – and again having eaten dinner in another restaurant, for a crepe pudding.
Stopped off for some churros and hot chocolate during a wander around the area. The service was a bit slow and they needed reminding to bring one of the portions of churros, although once everything had arrived it was really good. Lovely thick hot chocolate and warm churros. The ice cream also looked really good. Prices seemed a bit higher than other similar places I had been to in Barcelona.
Desserts are good (gelato, creps, chocolat con churros...all good although they are chincy on the churros and only give you three, the xocolateria about 2 blocks north and east gives you four); the service at the Farggi in El Born is somewhat lacking (my husband and I regularly wait 10-15 minutes before anyone will cast a glance our way even if they are not busy).... Not rude, just totally indifferent. But they are the only dessert place in passeig del born that is open late and not completely packed. Creps al Born is just down the way and much better service but always packed.
