A high-end restaurant, easily one of the best in Valencia, located near Mestalla stadium and with a car park very close by. Ordering a la carte they provide a long procession of free appetizers. We had white asparagus from Tudela and wild mushroom starters which were excellent, and the pigeon is always top quality. Ample and well priced wine list with some exceptional items. Very attentive service. The bread (from a small provider in Teruel) with olive oil is notable as well. Overall, top notch and they maintain a very high standard on a continuous basis. Yvonne (front of house) is German, and there is an admirable selection of German white wines to complement the Spanish selection. Worth hunting this out...and they have set menus including a EUR25 lunch offering that are very good value...
The first time was great. The second time ...super. we had the tasting menu of the chef. If you like surpising combinations you should come tothis restaurant. It is not cheap but oh so nice. Besides the staff is very nice too. Really one of the places to try if you arein Valencia
We had the Mother´s Day menu and it was very good. Several starters followed by delicious fish and a wonderful chocolate dessert: "chocolate de tres texturas". The bread was delicious (homemade) and the service was excellent. We will be back for more special occassions!
The service and ambience are good. But unfortunately the food was underwhelming. We had the tasting menu. The appetizers ranged from edible to mediocre to inedible. There was a twist on tiramisu which was an interesting concept but the mushy cod at the bottom (that I guess was trying to be the ladies fingers of the tiramisu) was fishy and the sweet pee cream on top did little to disguise it. The main course was the hake which was in season. Despite that and this being a seafood restaurant it wasn't cooked very well and was 2 dimensional in taste. Nothing on the menu excited the palate. Presentation was ok but taste a letdown. In a city of fresh and delicious ingredients, this was a decided letdown, especially after we had eaten in Kaymus the night before. The comparison could not be more stark. The best thing of the night? The chocolate dessert with 3 textures of chocolate. I would recommend giving this restaurant a miss and going to Kaymus instead.
