We go to Seattle 10 times a year and we always make sure to stop in for some great Balkan food. We love our server Maya, she is very bubbly and make sure she checks in often. She is like this with all her customers from what we can see while dinning at the restaurant. Food has been another reason why we kept going back and recommending to all of our friends. It's variety not just Balkan food, try the calamari next time your are there, it's super tender! Cevapi w/pita plate is also a great dish to have even if you are not from the Balkan part, I'm Chinese and that's my go to dish every time. Thanks for the great service Maya, hope to see you soon!
We had never had Balkan food, so we had to try it. We went for an early Wednesday lunch, 11:00 at opening and it was empty, not a problem. I asked to see a dinner menu also and our server said that they could probably accommodate anything from either menu. My wife had the falafel sandwich and fries. She thoroughly enjoyed it. I tasted it and found it to be a definite cut above the normal falafel, not dried out, the pieces were cooked to a golden brown and were totally done throughout but still moist on the inside. The fries were hand cut and just right. I had their signature Cevapi sausages that had a definitely Mediterranean accent, but were uniquely different... and good. It came with Lepinja bread, their variation of pita that was totally different and fantastic. I also ordered a side of the Sarajevo Potatoes, Harrissa spiked Yukon potatoes with a house made aioli sauce, pretty much a version of Spanish Potatoes Bravas. The only problem was trying to choice which items from a very extensive menu of very different dishes. I guess the solution is to keep on going back….we will.
