While I've never eaten in person here, I can say from a recent delivery order that this restaurant's customer service needs improvement. I did not get my food until two hours and a phone call later. I live just 3 KM away -- the drive over should take a few minutes tops! The worst part is that after waiting so long for my meal, it arrived inedible. It looked like the boxes had been dropped, or fallen over midway through delivery. Parts of my meal were well mixed with others. The soup was cold, and the sushi/sashimi were both room temperature warm. I ended up tossing the food and asking for a refund, as I did not want to take the risk of eating raw fish which had been improperly handled. Throughout the multiple phone calls, and during the delivery drop off, not once was there an admission of error, or an apology. One can only assume that this shoddy level of customer service shows up at the actual restaurant as well. I won't be visiting to find out.
A sparsely decorated but spacious sushi place near the NW corner of College and Ossington. Though the decor is nothing special, the sushi is excellent, and the bento box came in three filling courses, including miso soup and rice. The price was very reasonable. Service was friendly and quick.
They moved away from the neighbourhood near Dupont and Christie and on to a new location and I miss them. The food here is great for the price you pay. Cheap and amazing. It may not be gourmet food, but that's why you are paying less for it. They have a wide range of sushi choices and cheap lunch deals. Totally worth it if you are not too fussy about your sushi. Everything from their bento boxes, to their sushi to their sashimi is amazing!! Just avoid their curry chicken - nothing too great! If they still have the same owners, then those guys are amazingly nice as well. Since I was a regular, they used to throw in some freebies too! I introduced this place to so many people, and I'm sad that it's nowhere near my work or home anymore :( This business deserves to expand to greater heights!
A small place, neighborhood, banal design But excellent sushi! Good prices. I went there three or four times alone and with friends. If you live in the neighborhood - do not miss And if you're tourists and tour on Bloor Street and you feel like a very tasty lunch at a fair price or just feel like sushi, do a little turn to Christie Street. Satisfaction guaranteed.
