It's a very small place , very good located in which you should go using public transportation or taxi, forget your car. It is noisy, but that's due to the limited available space. Had dinner with very dear friends and the food was nothing but excellent. Two had the fixed menu, two went for " a la carte", everything was great. Special mention for the crunchy octopus and the tuna steak, nice wine from Basilicata. Enough quick in serving your orders and very polite , a very good Italian restaurant. It deserves a good rate
We had my birthday dinner here - it was full, even on a Tuesday, so make sure to book ahead. You can very practically do that online. We had the burrata (excellent), pasta with truffles (also excellent), and the pasta stuffed with pumpkin/zucca (again, excellent). For the main course we each had the Costata, which was cooked to perfection - a really great piece of steak. Too full for dessert, but we enjoyed a digestiv offered by the house, where they also gave us some chocolate cantuccini - very delicious. With a good bottle of wine, it cost €200 - not cheap, but we would highly recommend this restaurant for a special dinner. Throughout the dinner, the service was very attentive and helpful (in German, English and Italian).
Our second time here and the service is just as friendly, attentive and accommodating. My friends and I ordered each something different and all agreed that the food was excellent. The owner helped us find the perfect wine, which paired up perfectly. It's definitely worth it!
I had a business dinner at this restaurant, and I have to say that I was very impressed both by the food and the service. We had a 5 course menu, the waiter explained what was on offer and for one of the courses (the "secondo") there was a choice between different types of meat (one was lamb, I do not remember the other ones). I am actually a vegetarian and I was afraid it would create problems (the restaurant was not informed in advance of my dietary requirements).... well... what a pleasant surprise.... I had 5 very different, extremely delicious courses and even some of the meat-eaters admired my food.... The dessert was also very impressive - a semolina pudding from the Molise area.... I had never had it before and I loved it! The wine was excellent, too. The service was very attentive - the only recommendation I would give is to have a written menu as well - e.g. on a blackboard It was not always easy to follow the waiter's explanation of the different courses ... not because his German was not good, just because we were a large group and some of the people where chatting and laughing. Everything comes with a price..... and I have to say that I was happy it was not me paying... it was expensive! But delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!
