Not too long ago, you could get a $5 footlong from Subway and it would never have enough meat on it to satisfy, but the bread would fill you up. Now, they advertise $3 six inch sandwiches. Okay, inflation has struck and to get that footlong, you now have to pay $6 instead of $5. But that isn't true because Subway now only offers one kind of $3 sandwich each day rather than the majority of their menu. So when I ordered my premium carved turkey, one of their advertised new sandwiches, my cost wasn't anything close to $3.00. Instead, I paid almost what I used to pay for a footlong - $5. Add an extra $2.40 to make it a meal, and you're up to almost $8 with tax for a six inch sandwich. Sorry Subway, but you're simply not worth that much of my money for what you're giving me. To make matters worse, the premium carved turkey was dried out with two slices being used on the sandwich. I should have stuck with the usual turkey. If I'm going to spend $8.00 for a six inch sub, a bag of chips and a soda, I'll go to Firehouse Subs or Quizno's. Subway simply doesn't compare.
Subway is a worldwide fast-food franchise. That means if you do not know what to eat when traveling abroad, it is a good way out. the food is good, the price is fair and the service is usually fast.
