I researched 4 Indian Restaurants within 5 miles from our neighborhood and this by far had the most consistent high reviews for food. I had purchased a Groupon coupon but saw during my research discounted coupons elsewhere at sites like Yelp seeming to be any time you want. Lucky was our experience even though not there on St. Paddy's day. Got the only space in front open and got the only booth (of maybe 7) available within 2 minutes after entering. Small but charming and decorated in the style of their culture. We were greeted nicely and quickly asked if we'd like something to drink. Asked about their special Chai hot tea and the server said it was very good so two out of our three ordered it and I found it to be a lovely blend. Ordering was more difficult due to the many choices but having read about the Chicken Tikka Masala (I believe it is called) by many satisfied reviewers, I ordered that, my husband a Curry and our friend a vegetarian dish.(mostly beans I think.) The size of the little metal Entre bowls sitting over a candle is deceiving for the price but when spooned onto the rice we had ordered, each of us still had a third of our portions to take home. We did order one order of Garlic Nan and since we were being calorie conscious, it was enough and plus they brought some small chip like crunchies for the table at the start. I had also ordered an appetizer of vegetable Samosas and the two were huge and delicious. They also brought two small dishes of a dipping sauce and I know one was green in color and one was a darkish brown color. (One of those was spicy). We went on a Sunday around 5 and by 5:45 there wasn't an empty chair or booth to be found. By 7 when we left half the tables were open again which only speaks of fast and efficient service. After visiting The Clay Oven I now see Indian Restaurants near my office so I likley will try one or two in the future as they are closer to our home.
