Enjoyed a Friday night meal with family. Familiar pub fare including fish and chips, salmon salads, sandwiches and burgers. Enjoyed the steak sandwich and berry trifle. Reasonable prices and great service.
This traditionally British Fared Gastro Pub, a many decade standing of the ol' hood of Dunbar in Vancouver's UBC area has a lot to offer. With new head chef , Joshua, we are not only promised the traditional british greats ( which are hard enough to find) but if you are looking for something health conscious, the Cobb Salad is probably the best I've ever had...Fresh, Hardy, served on a huge slice of iceberg with the perfect amount of fresh bacon, egg, avocado, blue cheese and your choice of chicken or the freshest of shrimp. This cozy establishment has been an escape of mine since the early 1980's...when I didn't even live in this area. I have since raised 2 kids in this area of Vancouver and would do it again in a heart beat. We have even spent a Thank giving here...Joshua always ensured a beautiful, extremely affordable fell dinner package. Truly a rarity in Vancouver.
