Do not go here for brunch! Went here with 5 friends for a Saturday afternoon brunch. The service was slow, the food was cold, and management did not care. After sitting there in an empty restaurant for 20 minutes we were finally brought menus. After getting coffee, the waitress still did not take our order. We collectively order two salads and four eggs Benedict. The salads were average (do not order the Cobb salad, it is not a salad). The eggs Benedict were so terrible we had to send them back. Not only was all of the food cold, but the eggs were also unbelievably overcooked. We sent all of the egg dishes back, and it took another 30 minutes for our food to come out...and there was still no one in the restaurant. The manager came over and apologized, but did not offer anything for the poor service or the bad food. Will definitely not be going back.
Went here for dinner with my partner with no illusions that it was going to be a "quiet, cozy meal for two"... and we weren't disappointed! Even with no major sports games being shown on the many screens spread wall to wall you couldn't even hear someone standing next to you shouting in your ear. combined with the fact that you need a powerful flashlight to read the menus because of the low-to-nonexistant lighting at the tables even before you get to see your food, it doesn't inspire you very much. we ordered buffalo wings to share for starters and they were really good. Then burgers for main. I had a "works" burger and my partner had a French onion burger. Mine, although cooked as I asked was cold when I got it and the cheese had completely congealed on the top of the bacon forming a tarmac-like coating on the pattie. The French onion burger was similarly cold and the bun soggy from having gravy poured over the bun before the pattie being put on it. Opinion: overpriced, noisy and totally uninspiring from a food perspective. Avoid unless you are, or intend to become, totally inebriated...then none of the above will really matter
We took our 10year old for lunch on a busy Saturday afternoon. We dont venture to Union Square area often, its too crazy for me. But this place is just off the madness and super comfy. We were seated pretty quickly. I had the Kale Ceaser, my husband the cobb salad and our son the burger and fries. The wait was a little long but the food was really delicious. Lovely portion sizes for the salads. My only comment is the burger was quite small, my son ate every bit plus the fries so I personally wouldnt think its a big enough dish for an adult.
