Shenanigan's Irish pub is one of the best Irish pubs you will go to if you are visiting Liverpool City Centre.Located in an area full of good cask ale pubs Shenanigan's Irish pub serves in my opinion the best Guinness in Liverpool City Centre and that is testament to this pub considering how many good Irish pubs are located in Liverpool.Housed in a superb building it looks every inch an Irish pub.I remember many years ago when this pub was called The Rising Sun but in 1997 it became Shenanigan's Irish pub and it has never looked back.It has a fantastic eclectic interior very narrow it opens up a bit near the toilets and is a fantastic pub to spend a few hours drinking your beverage of choice.As well as serving the best Guinness in Liverpool City Centre they have a fine range of beers from the tap and bottle plus a fine Whisky and cocktail menu.They show all major sporting events in here and host live music they also have a merchandise shop in here were they sell there own branded goods.Went here while visiting a few of the cask ale pubs around this area of Liverpool City Centre and as Guinness is one of my favourite ales we went in here and ordered a couple of pints of Guinness which as alway's in Shenanigan's was first rate and at a decent price considering the Guinness we were having and the Irish pub we were in. Shenanigan's Irish pub is in my opinion the best Irish pub to visit when in Liverpool City Centre and i would have no hesitation in recommending this great Irish pub.Located on Tithebarn street.(This is my 2nd review of Shenanigans Irish pub). Made my second visit on Friday 22nd January and the place was quite busy. It took a while to get served at the bar but as the barmaid was on her own I didn't mind this. The second round was when the problem came, I ordered two pints of Guinness and a pint of San Miguel and the barmaid forgot the San Miguel at first, asking for £6.30 for the two pints of Guinness. After I reminded her about the San Miguel the price jumped to over £12! Maybe I should have realised sooner but I didn't and I just paid her. It's not like she was rushed off her feet at this point, I was the only person at the bar. My friend bought the same round again (different bar maid, the one who served my had gone home as far as I could tell) and it came to £9 something. I do like the place and the Guinness certainly is the best I've had in the city but I'm by no means a wealthy man and being overcharged like that hurts!
