Stopped for milkshakes but that was a mistake. Went to the takeout end of the counter, waited and waited then finally had our order taken. It must have taken over 10 minutes to get 2 milkshakes. Once we got them and got in our vehicle, as we are driving we started to drink them but there wasn't much flavor to them. I would not order them from here again.

I'm going to start by saying this; I do like the food from this chain & specially the great prices they have to offer however this location has terrible customer service. The welcome you receive once walking through the double doors is something similar to dirty sewer water mixed with rotten onions. Once waiting to be seated the staff looks at you like you are interrupting them & what are you there for? Minutes later when they have no other choice than to sit you down the booths, tables & floor are dirty. I understand this is a 24 hour location but that's no excuse. Then you want to wash your hands before eating and make your way across the sticky movie theater floor to the restroom and surprise !!!!! It's dirtier than the outside of the restaurant, it stinks & is discussing. I've been at restroom at the Amtrak station cleaner than this ! Never mind walking out of there feeling clean ... Once you have survived that, place your order with one of the dirty shirt club employees ( are the shirts now grey?) and hope just hope it's made the right way. Hopefully you are not going to disturb the employees again with correcting it if it comes out wrong much less ask for them to refill your drink. And the list goes on... I personally think the management should train better on how to correct these things, the employees & hold the employees accountable for their actions. I feel bad for this location because it's going downhill fast due to the lack of cleanliness & poor training ....

My friends and I went to Steak & Shake for shakes and to kill some time before an appointment in the area. Killing time was almost all we did. The restaurant was half full when we arrived but despite the fact that all 3 of us middle aged adults stood at the top of the line waiting to be seated, we were ignored. After 10 minutes I asked to speak to the manager. I asked him how long the staff were going to stare at us before we were seated. He said they were busy delivering food to the tables, but that's not what we were seeing. Eventually we were seated, after there were several people waiting in line behind us. It took 45 minutes to get 2 milk shakes and during that time we saw no fewer than 5 tables send back the food they were given. 2 people went to the kitchen and waited at the door to get anyone's attention. When we were being rung up at the register there was still another person complaining saying they were going to call corporate. I've never seen such an epic failure and a manager who in his hot orange button down shirt, be less apologetic or empathetic. It was nothing short of remarkable.
