We went for a quick lunch on a beautiful Sunday opting to sit outside on their patio. Nice server, quick to get orders and deliver them. Food tasted good but then it all went downhill. A patron with a dog on a leash was seated 2 tables down from me (note, I'm allergic!) which was bad enough. It then went horribly wrong when not one but TWO servers went to the table, spoke with the patron and PETTED THE DOG ... they BOTH then walked away (we followed) and DID NOT WASH THEIR HANDS before touching dishes for other patrons. We will never return. Others shouldn't either. Whether you love dogs, hate them, are allergic or not it is NOT appropriate for animals to be where we're serving food and then to have our servers NOT wash their hands and transmit the hair, dander, etc. to someone else ... what if I was severely allergic and had to go to the hospital, take a shot, get CPR or died? The Copper Coin should be ashamed of themselves.
This good after-work destination to meet friends for a drink and a bite is an improvement over previous establishments save for Cafe Zaffarano in the Admiral District. Seattle-retro decor adds color.
