We walked over from the hospital, and were pleased to find good and authentic Ethiopian food. The restaurant is simple but clean. The server was very pleasant and able to help us order. She brought us water without asking, and when I asked for forks there was no problem. When reading some comments, I want to remind people that with international cuisine there can be cultural differences. You may need to ask for what you expect as a given, but if you do so politely folks usually try to oblige. If in Seattle I'll come back.
There was only one TripAdvisor review and it was glowing. Reviews on other sites suggested that this is the best Ethiopian restaurant in Seattle. If so, wait until you are in some other city to get Ethiopian food We are quite experienced in Ethiopian restaurants, mainly but not exclusively in the U.S., and this is at the bottom of the list. The restaurant was clean and the woman in charge very nice. But the food was mediocre, most of it bland. In addition, the server, who was very pleasant had such a limited command of English that she could not answer any questions about the menu. If you do not order a vegetarian dish, don't plan on any vegetables. The chicken or meat dishes come with a small serving of salad and that is it. The vegetable dishes were mostly bland. I liked the people and feel badly panning the place, but I would not return.
