Local place. Friendly staff. Excellent lentil soup food processed with oats and herbs. Needs just a little salt. The kofte were crispy, deep-fried delicious balls of spiced meat. The pide with lamb and peppers was tasty!. I will visit again, and recommend anyone to visit, too!
not sure if I should rate it lower cause when in Istanbul you expect good food. I noticed that the place was full of locals so thought to give it a try. My meal was average, very different from what I expected but people there were nice, even if they had to rush to serve everybody
Service was fast and I got what I ordered.I ordered Kebap İskender that is one of the most famous foods in istanbul.It is a kind of döner kebab prepared from thinly cut grilled lamb basted with hot tomato sauce over pieces of lavas bread and generously slathered with melted sheep butter and yogurt.It was a little sour,with taste of tomato,it had ok taste.Dish size to small.Alcohol was not on menu.Small place not enough space between tables.It was a real local Istanbul kebab diner with photos of local peoples on the walls. Best:Fast service and photos of local people. Worst:to small dish and no alcohol
